Some of have been saying it’s one of the best movies of the year… For me… I’m still not convinced. The best movie should be one that reunites in perfect harmony the story, the characters, the cinematography, the direction, everything!!
For everyone who may think it will be a movie just focused on space and how everything goes up there you don’t have nothing to worry because yes, even if space is a big character in the whole movie, it’s also secondary when most of the movie focus on the reflections by the character of Sandra Bullock.
The biggest names (or the only names we know about the movie) are Sandra Bullock and George Clooney but Bullock is definitely the star of the movie. She present us with a really good performance and keep us rooting for her through all the minutes.
Honestly, the best part of the movie is the cinematography. The images are just perfect and the technology used by Cuarón is fabulous. Being an old project I think it was the right decision to wait a few years until technology had reached a certain level of definition. The whole movie is just beautiful to watch, the special effects, the 3D. All that is worth.
But in the end I don’t believe it is the best movie because there’s just something missing. Maybe it’s the story that is lacking something… I mean, it’s good but it’s not perfect.
But, in the end, 7 out of 10!
